Our mission.

To Love & Serve God & Others

You must love the Lord Your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.

— Matthew 22:37

And the second is equally important: Love your neighbor as yourself.

— Matthew 22:38

Our values.

Radical hospitality.

Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory. (Romans 15:7)

We focus on those outside our congregation with as much passion as we attend to the nurture and growth of those who already belong to our family of faith. In a world that seems ready to draw boundaries and distinctions at every turn, we seek to model our church after Jesus' example: to radically challenge society's expectations by overstepping the boundaries to invite all people to belong.

Passionate worship.

How lovely is Your dwelling place, O Lord of Heaven’s Armies!
I long, yes, I faint with longing to enter the court of the Lord!
(Psalm 84:1-2)

We believe worship connects people to God and to one another. We gather consciously as the Body of Christ with eagerness and expectancy; encounter Christ through singing, prayer, Scripture, preaching and communion; and respond by allowing God's Spirit to shape our lives. We value worship that is authentic, alive, creative, and comprehensible; a place where we can experience the life-changing presence of God in the presence of others.

Intentional faith development.

All the believers devoted themselves to the apostle’s teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. (Acts 2:42)

We offer high quality learning experiences that help people understand Scripture, faith, and life in the supportive nurture of caring relationships. Christians must strive to develop faith and grow in Christ-likeness through study and learning, and God is best able to form disciples when people do this together and not by themselves. This type of development allows God's Spirit to work within us, perfecting the practice of love as we grow in the knowledge and love of God.

Risk-taking mission and service.

I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these My brothers and sisters, you were doing it to Me! (Matthew 25:40)

The projects, efforts, and work our church does is to make a positive difference in the lives of others for the purposes of Christ, whether or not they will ever be a part of our community of faith. God's grace, compassion, mercy, and love extend to the entire world. We spread our faith by exemplifying the compassion, mercy, and justice of Jesus. This outward focus allows us to serve and love others in our relationships, communities, and world.

Extravagant generosity.

You will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. (2 Corinthians 9:11)

We give generously to the church because we genuinely desire to make a positive difference for the purposes of Christ and because we want to align our lives with a higher purpose. As well, we give because we love God, our church, and desire to grow in love of our neighbors. We teach, preach, and practice proportional giving. As a congregation, we practice generosity by our extraordinary support for missions, connectional ministries, and organizations that change people's lives. We believe Christians should give joyously, generously, and consistently in ways that enrich the souls of members and strengthen the ministries of the church.
