Frequently asked questions.

// Where do I go when I arrive?

If you have kids with you (birth through 6th grade), the west entrance is the perfect place for you to enter the building. If you won’t be checking in any kids, any of our entrances (west, east, and south) are for you. We have ample parking (including handicapped) on all sides of the church. As you enter the building, our greeters will meet you and can show you where to find the sanctuary, restrooms, or kids' area.

// How long will the service last?

Services last a little over one hour. We start by singing a few songs together. It’s okay if you don’t know the words! The lyrics will be on the screen for you to follow. Then the speaker, typically our Senior Pastor, Paul Shellenberger, shares a message. At a point in the service, offering plates will be passed as we give together. We'll wrap up the service with a closing song and, upon departure, continue to worship God in our homes, schools, and communities!

// What should I wear?

Don't feel like you have to dress up. You'll see people in everything from suits and dresses to casual shorts. You are welcome to wear whatever you feel comfortable in.

// What is available for kids?

In NazKidz, children birth through 6th grade experience Jesus on their level. Kids love our safe, age-appropriate environment where they can have their own time with singing, a Bible lesson, and time with our great adult leaders in a smaller group setting. All of our volunteers are background checked for your children's safety and your peace of mind! Our birth through 2-year olds will be in the nursery (on the main level) for the full hour. Our 3-year olds through kindergarten will be in the Pre-K room on the main level as well. Our 1st through 6th graders join their family in the Sanctuary; activity bags are available for use during the service.

// Am I welcome if I'm _____________?

We’ve all felt at some point or another like we don’t belong. No matter what is in your past or present, there is hope for you in Jesus. And because you matter to Him, you matter to us. At Newton Nazarene Church, you’re welcome to belong before you believe. We’ll see you on Sunday!
